Good Afternoon,
The past week at the State Capitol, the Appropriations Committee did not recommend reopening the preliminary $26 billion budget for FY2024-25. Leaders of the Democratic majorities in the House and Senate will begin final negotiations with Gov. Ned Lamont?s budget office, hoping to resolve all spending for the next fiscal year before the regular legislative session ends on May 8.
In the coming weeks the House and Senate will continue to meet for Session in their respective chambers. the below highlights recently added legislation and the attached weekly report contains proposals and hearings to this point.
