CSFA Annual Report of Officers – 2022

The attached Annual Report of the Officers of the Connecticut State Firefighter’s Association was adopted at the 139th Annual Convention, September 17, 2022

Cancer Relief Benefits for Firefighters

The Connecticut General Assembly through Public Act 16-10 established a Firefighters Cancer Relief Program.  More recently, during the 2022 Legislative Session funding to support the program and adoption of the recommendations of the Task Force to Study Cancer Relief Benefits for Firefighters (PA 22-139) provided the green light to move toward implementation and support of firefighters in need.

A fillable claim form is attached. Download / save to your computer to use fillable form.

One copy of the Connecticut Firefighter Cancer Relief Fund (CT FFCRF) Claim Application shall be submitted electronically to FFCancerRelief@ct.gov. The original must be submitted by U.S. Mail to: CSFA Secretary, P.O. Box 9 Mansfield Center, CT 06250. Upon approval, the original will be sent by the CSFA Secretary to the Office of State Comptroller in Hartford. A copy will be made and retained by the CSFA Secretary.

CSFA Merit Awards Notice

The Connecticut State Firefighters Association (CSFA) is accepting applications for Merit Awards to be presented at the 2022 CSFA Convention in September. Applications are now due however we might be able to accommodate some late submissions. All applications are to be sent electronically at cmstankye@snet.net, or via mail C.M. Stankye, III, 126 David Humphreys Rd., Derby, CT 06418.
Attached you will find a copy of the Merit Award Rules and application in PFD format.

Connecticut State Firefighters Association Fourteenth Annual Hall of Fame Dinner – Save the Date

Save-the-Date for the 15th Annual Hall of Fame Dinner to be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, CT.  The Hall of Fame was established to recognize and honor members of the Connecticut Fire Service both living and deceased who have contributed to the betterment of the fire service locally, statewide and nationally.      

Hall of Fame Nomination Forms are held for three (3) years, if nominee is not selected in the first year submission.  All nomination forms must be received no later than November 1.
