2023 (140th) CSFA Convention – Thomaston

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department is hosting the 2023 Connecticut State Firefighters Association
Convention and Parade. The parade will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, beginning at 12:00 pm.
In 2023 we will be celebrating our newly elected Chief of Department Glenn Clark. Chief Clark will also be
elected to the Connecticut State Firefighters Association as President.
Please accept this invitation and join us as we celebrate the 140th Anniversary of the Connecticut State
Firefighters Association.
Attached you will find the following for your information,

  • Parade registration form.
  • location of the convention meeting, apparatus parking, bus parking, participant parking, and exits
    to Thomaston from Rt. 8.
    A list of convention trophies and awards to be given once scoring tabulations have been
    completed.

  • For your convenience, the Northfield Fire Company will be holding their Sunday Breakfast for early
    arrivals. The Breakfast ends at 10:30am.

CSFA Legislative Update – 6-4-2023

Good Evening,

With just three remaining working days in the Legislative Session, the Connecticut General Assembly has been working day and night for the past two weeks. The state budget is expected to be completed prior to the Constitutional adjournment date of June 7th, and legislation will move between chambers at a rapid pace.
