CSFA takes a look at Firefighter Health: Asbestos, another silent killer

While Firefighters have one of the most heroic and dangerous careers, you might mistakenly think their only concern would be fire.

There are also environmental hazards that affect Firefighters including asbestos exposure. Asbestos materials that are burned can cause fibers to be easily released into the air to be inhaled by Firefighters and other emergency personnel; this inevitably could cause mesothelioma cancer.

Unfortunately, repeated asbestos exposure can lead to this deadly disease which has no cure. To learn more about mesothelioma and the dangers of asbestos visit  www.mesotheliomasymptoms.com
