Call for Testimony at the Codes and Standards public hearing on January 24th

Good afternoon all,

I request that all Fire Service Groups Presidents who are available please come to the Codes and Standards public hearing on January 24th at 10:00 at the LOB in Hartford and provide testimony if you can.   The Connecticut Codes and Standards Committee will receive public comments on the proposed 2018 IRC which is requiring fire sprinklers in all new townhouses in our state. This critically important step would bring Connecticut closer to compliance with the current national model fire and safety codes regarding sprinklers.  The CT Fire Sprinkler Coalition, the CFMA, and the NSFA, are supporting this important change in fire sprinkler protection in CT.  The CT Home Builders members will at the LOB testifying against this change on this date.

I am requesting all Fire Service Groups come in uniform to show support for fire sprinklers in CT.   If you cannot attend, please submit a letter of support by February 16th to:
